Chinese New Year at West Hills Academy
On January 27th, our students enjoyed an enriching assembly on Chinese culture and how the New Year is celebrated in China. The Dix Hills Chinese School and Cultural Association joined us and gave a presentation on the traditions Chinese families observe. They learned some key phrases in Chinese, were able to try on traditional garb, and viewed different decorations and masks that are used to celebrate this year, the Year of the Rooster!
