Living Campus
Bringing Lessons to Life
18-Acres of Picture-Perfect Beauty
Located in the heart of Huntington, New York, our campus is surrounded by beautiful treelines and natural sights. Navigate the paths of historic Sweet Hollow Road as you approach our massive and lively campus. Originally a day camp, our campus is stocked with live animals, a living pond, multiple pools and playgrounds, sports activity areas, outdoor classrooms, and much more. We utilize every inch of our campus to ensure students are learning new things every step of the day — even during recess.
The Greenhouse
Of all of the incredible features of our campus, our greenhouse is among the ones that we are most proud of. Students take time throughout the year planting, caring for, and learning about a variety of different plants in the greenhouse. Not only does this lend itself to engaging lessons in areas such as science, it teaches students valuable lessons in responsibility and fosters a sense of accomplishment and pride in their work that they can see with their own eyes.
The Living Pond
Our campus is home to a living pond stocked with fish, ducks, and other wildlife. Lessons in science are brought to life by allowing students to observe and interact with the ecosystems they are learning about. Curiosity and imagination are instantly ignited in the environments we create for our students.
Turning Moments into Lessons
Incidental learning occurs when a student becomes curious or fascinated with something they see, and a lesson is created to teach them and the class about it. We encourage this natural curiosity by stocking our campus with animals, fish, a living pond, and other organic wonders. This environment enstills a natural love for learning and exploration in all of our students.
A Time for Play
Nothing says ‘happy child’ like a playground. This staple of childhood is important to the health, happiness, and social development of every child. Our campus is home to six different playgrounds- each designed to spark playful curiosity and social engagement. The joyful sounds of children’s laughter echo throughout our campus as children explore our various playgrounds and outdoor activities.
